Post-Workout Drink

In my opinion the post workout drink is one of the most important and essential steps in bodybuilding. It helps the body recover from a hardcore workout, replenish glycogen stores, repair muscle tissue, reduces post-workout soreness, raises testosterone and growth hormone levels, and reduces cortisol levels.

The recommended window is 30-45 minutes after your workout but the sooner nutrients are consumed and absorbed, the sooner the body can go from a catabolic (muscle destroying) state to an anabolic (muscle building) state. It is for this reason that a liquid meal is preferred to solid food because it is digested and absorbed quicker than solid foods.

I use Anator p-70 as my post workout drink. It has a good carb to protein ratio and it taste good. So make sure you drink a post workout shake to give your craving muscles the nutrients it needs to grow!

Mind vs Iron

An attitude of an individual before entering the gym predertermines the outcome. Many people just go through the motions during the time they spend at the gym. Each minute spent at the gym is precious. On the road to the gym, I am already visioning how great my workout will be, and how I will execute. If the mind is not right, you will be defeated by the iron. I have seen countless people fall at the defeat of the iron. The reason they are defeated is because they already surrender before the battle starts. For example, if Johnny says "I cannot military 315", even if his muscle can power it, his mind has already surrendered which sends the white flag to the muscles. Before I lift a heavy weight, I channel all my anger, everyone who ever doubted me, all the times people have put me off, all of this fuels the power of the lift. A pre-workout supplement is also a vital key in Mind vs Iron. The pre-workout puts the mind in "the zone".While in "the zone", one can do things that seem impossible. My last weapon in battle was MHP Dark Rage. I would drink a serving of it before my workout, and within minutes I felt like the warrior Achilles. Quick Snack

When I get hungry and I dont have time to fix a meal I usually eat a protein bar to tie me over til my next meal. A protein bar is a healthier alternative to a snickers bar. I know most of you have had bad experiences with horrible tasting protein bars and probably haven't ate one since. Believe me I was the way until I tried a Vanilla Muscle Sandwich, now I always carry one in my bag.
