Body for Life After 12

I decided to take my first Body-For-Life Challenge , as I stood in a store dressing room and cried my eyes out when I had
to buy a size 16.
I completed 3 challenges in and the happiest I had ever been, despite going
through a divorce in November after 3 years of marriage. I started at 162
pounds, size 16 and 34.2% body fat. At the completion of my 3rd challenge I was at 137 pounds, size 10 and 19.7% body fat.
I knew that BFL was going to be a part of my life forever and not
entering an official challenge. But then I felt like something was missing in my
life....something was....having that 12 week goal to focus on kept me motivated,
kept me inspired so I joined up again in June and just completed my first
challenge. I am not noticing the scale moving much but I am seeing
muscle and definition and am down to a size 8 so things are still working for
me. My goal is to hit 12% body fat and get that butt where I want it...you girls
out there know what I mean. All my efforts have been worth it because I am now,
after a year of doing this, am getting stopped by perfect strangers in the gym
telling me how great I am looking. People watch, even when you think they are
not so give them something to really look at! 5am workouts, Monday through
Friday are not always easy but if something in life is too easy then you don't
appreciate it the same as something you have to work hard for....a little
planning, a little focus and an ounce of sometimes heart wrenching determination
and patience can make that reflection in the mirror something you WANT to see. I
know I still have a ways to go but I WILL GET THERE. Give it a chance - you
won't regret it! Best wishes my friends... |
